A General purpose needle that can be used on knit or woven fabrics. A casual sewer that might fix a pair of jeans today, a kid's T-shirt tomorrow, and some lingerie next month. You will probably use this needle most often. It will perform a number of tasks sufficiently. It has a long scarf that is great for zigzag stitches and won't damage knits. It is sharp enough to go through many fabrics, but it has a slight ball point which makes it not ideal for going through many layers or high thread count fabrics. The shaft (upper part) of these needles has a flat side and a round side. These fit all “household” models from Brother, Janome, Singer, Pfaff, Bernina, Viking, Elna, Kenmore, Baby Lock, Simplicity, Necchi, White and many others.
Does Schmitz have sharp needles rather than ball point needles.
Yes. I use the microtex extra sharp needle from Schmetz.
How easy is it to clean?
Super, these are the best sewing needles.
Do these fit a Brother se625 sewing and embroidery machine?

Will these fit my White Jeans Machine #1425?
I am not familiar with White machines, so I can’t advise on the use of these needles in your machine; but I have used them in both Singer and Janome machines with no issues whatsoever. Perhaps your user manual or the manufacturer’s website helpline would be helpful.
do these fit viking husquvarna?
Schmetz needles work in all brands...PFAFF, Viking, Bernina, Brother, Janome.....
I have a pfaff machine I need leather needles, I haven’t found needles with large enough holes for the thread, any suggestions
Schmetz sells a “ leather” needle. Not sure what type of thread you are using. Find a needle graph that compares needle size to thread weight, you may find your answer there.
