Am I supposed to pull the floss apart more??? The needle doesn't fit through the bead! If i could pull the needle through where do i pull it back

Hi! This Bucilla stocking came with 2 needles, one with a big eye and one with a small eye. If the bead won't go through the needle, you have the wrong one. So the first thing to do when you open the kit is read through all of the directions. Then you can go back and start at the beginning and mark them off as you go. The advantage of that is you learn to cut one piece at a time, inside the lines, and you discover that the 6 strand floss is to be divided into 1, 2 or 3 strands usually, depending on what kind of stitch it is being used for. So, one strand of that floss is 36" and that's too long to work with, so I cut it in half. Then if you are working with sequins and beads, you only need one strand, so you separate it. You tie three knots in the end, come up underneath the felt with your needle into a sequin (cup side up) and put the bead in the cup, pull the thread through and then put the needle back down outside the bead through the sequin hole to hold the bead in place. If this description doesn't make sense, maybe you could look it up on Utube. There are several online groups who make Bucilla stockings and other goodies. Hope you love it as much as we do. Good luck and happy stitching!
