Can you use this with double stranded embroidery floss?

I have not tried to use double stranded embroidery floss with my needle case so cannot answer for sure.

dome needle holder--can this be used for cross stitch when using 2 strands of thread in 1 needle

Yes, they can use this to hold threaded needles for cross-stitch.

how do you "load it" can I change only 1 color or do I have to change them all at the same time?

Top comes off and you spin the chamber insude thread winds up.. to change just pull needle out and thread comes out with it. I recommend one color per dome. Unless you don't mind one color on top of another.

Can it be used with wool yarn for needle pointing?

Yes but you would only be able to store half as many because of the thickness of the yarn used for needlepoint. I can easily store needles threaded with 2 strands of embroidery floss.

Using regular thread, is there a maximum length of thread you should put on each needle?

Not that I've noticed. I usually do about an arms length. It also comes out easier if you don't knot your thread. I like it so much I have 3 (one for each type of sewing I do)

how do you get the needles out?

The needles just slip out of the case and the thread that is in the eye of the needles comes out too! Easy!

Has anyone had any difficulty getting through airport security with this in their handcarry bags? I like to work on English paper piecing when I fly.

I had ten flights on a trip to India and only ran into a problem in a small airport in the countryside. I think it was a language problem. They. Really didn't understand what is was. I really do love mine.

Has anyone found that the threads tangles to together making them impossible to pull out? Trying to problem solve this!

When I load it, I put the threads in from 1 to 10. When I pull them out I start with 10 and go backwards to 1. Seems like it tangles if I don't do it like that.

Do you have a pen that will draw on felt?

I would also like to know. This little thread minder works great. I have yet to have a tangle problem.

What length of needles is this good for? Is it ok for like... applique size 11 needles??

Yes appliqué needles sz 11 will fit It fits a variety of sizes haven’t found one it doesn’t, I love mine
