Has anyone tried to use these to play washboard? Do they stay on when playing? How do they sound?

Great question but way esoteric. Audtions coming for a reprise of Mother McCree's Jug Band.

Will it still work well to flip around so the hole side is on the front to cover the nail? I lost a nail, need something hard to shield the area.

As long as your nails are short I wouldn’t anticipate a problem. I would put a padding over the missing nail area

will it fit large fingers for a man?

Mine is a small so no, it's tight on my small finger

What are the dimensions for this protector? I would love to get one, but I am not sure which one to order.

It is really one size fits all. It has bands on the back that will close or open to the size needed, like the rings you could get out of gumball machines as a kid.

Would this work for knitting? I’m constantly pushing my finger against the knitting needle, and it gets sore.

No i do not think it would work. I am not crazy anout this thimble it is way too stiff & hurts my finger.

What Is The Capacity?

Refer to the size chart. I bought the large size, fits well. The thimble is adjustable.
