The picture shows one (1) threader, but the title says: dritz machine needle inserter & threader 3/box, multi. is there one (1) or three (3)?

This device does TWO things; a) holds sewing needle so it's easier to change the needle, and b) helps thread the needle after it's in the machine. Therefore, it is a "needle inserted & threader."

My grandmother cannot see the loop on the traditional aluminum needle threaders; would this be easier to use for a person with a visual impairment?

If your grandmother is threading needles for hand sewing, this will not work. This will work for her nicely, if she is threading a sewing machine. For hand sewing threading, I LOVE the Dritz 202 led Needle Threader with Cutter. $5.47 Amazon Prime It even has a little led light , which is helpful also!

Will this thread a #8/60 machine needle?

I tried to use it for Schmetz microtex 8/60 needle and after half an hour or more I have to changed the needle to 10/70 (I was using gutterman 100% polyester) and it was ok

Does it work with a Brother serger?

Work with multi machines.

What is square cutout hole by inserter for? Every brand I see has this hole

The all blue end is to hold your sewing machine needle. It has a flat back in that hole so that you can put the flat part of the sewing machine needle correctly into the holder...this just makes it all easier to hold your sewing machine needle as you insert it into your machine....and you can use it to hold the OLD needle when you are taking it out to replace it with a new one. The white end it to help you thread the needle if you don't have an automatic threader on your sewing machine. I like it a lot...especially the blue end as it's hard to hold a needle in that position as I try to put in the new replacement. It's worth it.

My sewing machine threads from the back & the footer is in the way of a direct line. Will this work for an insert from the back of needle (not side)?

I'm pretty sure this inserter will work from the back.

Has anyone used this for clear thread, monofilament thread? I'm having a heck of a time threading it through my machine needle. Thank you.

I have this threader but have not used it for what you are trying to do. The thread you are trying to use is quite stiff and it probably wouldn't work with this threader.

Where is it made

I think it was China. Mine didnt work but I later bought another one that was also made in China and it is a Life saver.i am going through thread making masks. Being able to rethread with this when you can barely see is so nice

will this fit model # 15343 sears kenmore?

Yes. It should fit all needle sizes.
