What is the piece that looks like a large, blunt tio sewing needle? Its perplexing.

It's called a "bodkin" or ribbon puller. This is meant to look like an old Victorian sewing kit, and I think they must have been used to pull ribbons though lace or holes or something for decoration or drawstrings or something.

I’m wondering if you have a holder like this that holds both the scissor and the awl?

I don't believe they do. I cheated a little and drilled small holes into the thimble, awl, needle case and then cleaned up the edges with a file. Then I put satin ribbon in holes and I hang then from my waist as I work.

Can a lefty use the scissors? Are the scissors ambidextrous?

Yes I am a costume designer and am also Ambidextrous. I have used the scissors in both my right and left hand with no problem or issue. I hope this answers your question.

where is it made?

not sure but quality is good. Rather solid construction and not at all flimsy, which is what I worried about

Is this set made of stainless steel?

Yes, the blades are stainless steel

When will this item be restocked ?

On Thursday, immediately after the blood moon.

Is it easy to use?will it rust?

Any Stainless Steel item can rust as it must have enough carbon to hold an edge. The 2 sets I purchased are sharp, and have stayed sharp.

Why are they calling it a finger cot and not a thimble? Are the scissors the thread cutter with cover?

I would guess the person calling the thimble a finger cot, was tasked with writing a review but not familiar with sewing. This is a thimble, a real metal thimble you will not receive a “finger cot” The scissors do not come with a cover. None the less I found this set to be well made and a good value.

What is the country of manufacture? don't say you’re not sure.

Won't say "I'm not sure". I absolutely have no idea. Did not look....did not research....did not care. This is an excellent product. I did not purchase this set....I only purchased scissors. If this is critical in your decision, you should contact the seller and if they do not know, not purchase the item. Hope this helps.
