Just want to verify, is this clear?

yes it is clear and it is a fabulous tool to have! it makes it so easy to mark your fabric and also has angles to go by on it.... one of the best purchases you can make if you sew!

Does this ruler have both imperial (inches) and metric (centimeters) markings?

Only Inches on this ruler.

Does this come with rubber bumpers to keep it from slipping?

No, but slipping has not been a problem for me.

whats the difference between a mat ruler and a self healing cutting mat?

A mat ruler is what you use to measure the size of the shape of fabric you are cutting out. The self healing cutting mat is the mat that you put on your table to cut your fabric out on. The self healing part means that when cut on it the cut marks go away.

Is this a non-slip ruler? Helpful to put Dritz grips on the back to keep thin polyester fabric from slipping?

It's not non-slip, so yes, using grips would probably be a good idea with slippery fabric.

How thick is this ruler?

From the product description: Made of 3 mm-thick acrylic for lasting durability.

Does this ruler measure 1/8" increments?

There is no dotted line for 1/8" like there is for 1/4" but it does have a tiny tick mark on the rule line that can be lined up with the next tick mark so it can measure 1/8".

Does this ruler have a little "lip" to hook onto the edge of the cutting mat?

No

Has this ruler damaged your rotary blades?

No this ruler has never damaged any of my blades. It is a ruler guide, meant to be placed on top of a cutting mat and use the rotary cutter along the side of it to cut your fabric. Your rotary cutter blade never actually comes in contact with the ruler.

I want the one pictured, not the pink one joann fabric sells. will i get the orange thin lined one pictured?

I received the pink one with numbers running from top (1") to bottom (24") on right side. When I complained, I got another one, just like the first. I could have bought this one in wallyworld for less. Returning.
