How do I get them sharpened. Can I get my small scissors sharpened Also

I have always gone to a Kitchen or Food supply warehouse. It cost 5 to 10 dollars. You must do some serious Fabric cutting. I have had this brand (in 7") for nearly 40yrs and never had to get them sharpened. I know if you use it to cut paper, it really messes up the blades. But yeah, either a Kitchen or Fabric store can offer Knife/Blade Sharpening. Hope this helps. Happy cutting!!

where are they made?

Made in Italy. I am a made-in-USA kind of guy; in this case i made an exception, and could not be happier.Worth every penny.Great product!

what is this scissors made of? Is it chrome plated by any chance?

Debra j Has it right....they are chrome scissors made...

How important is the weight. These scissors are almost 8 oz. My old singer scissors are 4 oz. Is it better if the weigh more.?

I Wiss is 7" and in wonderful and light weight and good and in the your 8" in is a lots weight so ?????

where are these gingher scissors made? It says- "imported".

My scissors say Chrome Brazil. I got them when my mother passed. They are on good condition. Should I have them cleaned and sharpened?

How well do these do on heavy fabric like denim?

I have not tried it on denim, but I folded upholstery fabric 4 times and it cut through it with no problems.

Country of Manufacture in the last few months? 8 FEB 2014 Thanks.

Whoever bought them last, can you please update?... They have to say made in Italy on the blades, otherwise the quality is not the same that the ones made in Mexico, a friend who is a tailor told me that, they are not made with the same craftsmanship. ****October 2014***

Do these scissors work for lefties?

I think that gingher makes left handed scissors these are for right handed people. Check amazon I am sure they have the left handers kind. hope it helps

Are these still made in Italy?

"made in Italy" is printed on the scissors... so I am assuming they are still made in Italy.

Are these steel scissors can the cut threw the heavier fabrics

Yes. I cut upholstery fabric all the time.
