How can i unscrew the laser head? this laser light seems to work just fine, but i cannot get the head to unscrew so i can change it. it won't budge!

Mine was very hard to unscrew but it will come off. The instructions were not really clear either. You will have to force it to unscrew then you can change the heads easier. Hope this helps. It should not break, they are supposed to come off.

Does this laser system shine the design on your project so that you can trace it with the sewing machine as you sew?

The light should be positioned with the needle down, indicating the stitch path. When using the X light, you can see where the stitch should go, but that depends on how the fabric feeds. The true indicator is the center point

Is this a red or green light?

Red I quilt and I love the light.

is the light narrow & precise ?

This laser light, in my opinion, is very precise for sewing, the further away you point it the fuzzier it gets.

How is it mounted to the sewing machine?

It comes with self-stick Velcro tabs.
