Do Janome machines require Janome needles, or will standard Singer needles work?

Hi Ruth, I would use the janome needles or the schmetz kind. Please call the store at 800-442-8227 and ask for our sewing specialist for further details. Thank you Scott

How long is the arm on the Janine 1050?

Right to left 7.5" from the base of the machine 4" from the needle. Nice little machine, I got it to teach the Granddaughters how to sew. My other machine is a Janome embroidery machine... Hope this helps you.

what different feet does it come with? rolled hem foot?

I don't know what a rolled hem foot looks like - I am a quilter so don't use one. I bought mine from Ken's via Amazon and he throws in extras. However, I don't see that foot listed. Check with them on that particular one. Love the machine. Good luck!

does this machine work with 220v

ChinedumThe Janome DC1018 is a 110V machine. It does not work with 220V.thank you,

how much does it weigh?

I can't answer in exact measurements, but it's your fairly heavy sewing machine weight. I can move it myself. I don't need help, but i don't want to have to carry it very far...To give you an example: it feels like it weighs about the same as my old Elna 9000 and it's lighter than my old Viking.

What is the difference between the Dc1030 and the Janome 3160. Does the 1030 have a needle threader

I don't know the difference, but, yes, the 1030 does have a needle threader. I researched these a few years ago, and am really happy with the decision!

Can I use the snap-on feet from my other Janome on this machine?

I have a lot of different machines and I exchange them to each other.

do they come with quilting feet

If you mean a walking foot, it doesn't come with it but you can get one for about $49. There is another Janome on Amazon that comes with one but it's about $200. more.

Is janome dc1050 heavy duty, can this be used in denims? And how many years is the warranty?

Jaymie Grace Formeloza,3-4 layers of denim you should be OK. Do Not useheavy duty thread though.A better choice would be the Janome 6300.http://www.amazon.com/Janome-Memory-Sewing-Machine-Bonus/dp/B00TXQDNKQ/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1438268626&sr=8-5&keywords=janome+6300+sewing+machineThank you,
