Can the MOD30 sew through a denim hem with ease and does it have a stretch stitch option?

It helps to have a "denim" needle. Sew slowly. You can also buy a "height compensating tool" that really helps at the seams.

How many stitches per minute?

You can control the speed of the machine and therefore control stitches per minute.

What size bobbins does this machine use?

Janome Plastic J Bobbin. Will say J on it.

Can this machine stich letters?

This machine does not have any fonts on it.

Can this machine sew evenly over multiple seams as with piecework?

Sorry. I can not say because I have not seen over multiple seams although I would imagine the machine is up to it. It is a good , sturdy, reliable machine.

Can this machine sew through faux leather? I like the features, but want to make sure it can handle the material I have.

I have not tried it, but my guess is that with a leather needle it will go through 2 layers.

I am trying to thread my machine, but there is no thread take up lever for step four. Do I have to find it in the machine?

Are you trying to thread it? If so there is a lever like the stop for the button hole. It's in the same place just pull it down and push it back up to thread

Why does it take so long to ship?

I had mine in a couple of weeks. if not sooner

Do you have the mod - 50 bundle ?

Not sure. Amazon's bundle is usually different than other retailers.

how many inches are between the needle and the sewing arm to the right hand side of the machine?

Slightly over 6 inches.
