I'm having trouble deciding between xs and s. i understand the pattern runs big. xs is bust up to 32 1/2" . s starts at 34". i'm 33" advice?

You've possibly done this: take two measurements: 1. the high bust which is with the tape up and under the arms; 2. the fullest which is straight across the back and fullest part of bust in front. I've done a quick check of the pattern's measurements: first, the yoke, which is the fitted area of this style, comes in at 13" each for the front (pieces 4 & 8) and back ( piece 4) part. This area is higher than the high bust measurement and remember you'll have a full and gathered sleeve at the shoulder area giving lots of movement ease. Next, the gathered part which connects with the yoke measures about 44 or so inches in XS, and in my book, that's a lot of movement. It your fullest bust measurement is 33", there'll be another 11+ inches of ease. I say XS will be fab on you!

What’s size is xs?

Kwik sew 3106, size xs: Bust 31-1/2" to 32-1/2" Hip 32-1/4" to 34" Back waist length 15-1/2"

Do you need buttons or can this go over your head?\

I used buttons, but never unbutton them. I guess it might depend on the size of your head or hairdo.

Is this a new uncut pattern?

The copy of this pattern that Moonwishes Sewing and Crafts is selling is New and uncut.

How many yards?

it would be easier if i knew the size and the view needed . roughly it it between 2 3/4 to 4 yards

Are there pockets?

No, but they are easy to add in. This question was answered by someone in the comments section of the amazon listing. Nice pattern.

I am making a size xs nightgown with view c. how many yards of fabric would i need?

View C requires 2 7/8 yards of 60" fabric or 2 7/8 yards of 45" fabric. Designed for lightweight to medium-weight woven fabrics. Suggested Fabrics: Cotton, cotton types, broadcloth, batiste, flannelette, silk, silk-like fabrics. Hope this helps.

Is this easy enough for someone with very little to no experience make?

It is an excellent pattern and easy to put together. You will need to know how to gather fabric ( with a loose basting stitch). If you choose the style with buttons you will need to know how to use the button- hole maker on your sewing machine.

What size is xl?

Package says Bust - 43-45"; Hip - 45-47"; Back Waist Length - 17"; 60" fabric - 2 7/8 yds; 45" fabric - 4 1/8 yds. I use the medium size and have no experience with XL; however, the pattern can be easily modified. It makes a very nice garment. I use it as a chemise with some elaborate embroidery for my Renaissance costume. I have made short ones out of natural muslin to be worn as men's Renaissance work shirts. Excellent pattern.

How much fabric do I need for a size x large?

The amount of fabric required for the XL garment depends on which style you want since long sleeves use more fabric than short sleeves. How tall you are and how wide the fabric also is significant. According to the back of the package, 60" wide fabric long sleeve requires 2 7/8 yards while the short sleeve requires 2 1/8. If your fabric is 45" wide, it is suggest long sleeve requires 4 1/8 yards while short sleeve needs 4 yards.
