Is the embroidery foot good for free-motion quilting?
Absolutely. A free motion quilting foot is the same as a darning/free motion embroidery foot. I use mine for both applications.
How do i check if a sewing machine foot will fit my sewing machine?
When buying a new sewing machine presser foot you have to check if it is compatible with your sewing machine. Modern sewing machines typically use snap-on feet compared to older models which used screw type presser feet. Snap-on sewing machine presser feet can be easily removed and installed by loosening or tightening a thumb screw.
Should every sewing maching go on snap alone? I need sewing machine presser foot
Sewing Machine Accessory Kit is for Low Shank sewing machines. If you have a Low Shank sewing machine with a shank that does not fit these snap-on presser feet, you will need to purchase the sanp-on Shank Adapter for Low shank machines. The best way to determine what type of Shank a machine has (Low,High or Slant) is as follows: With the presser foot in the down position, measure from the bed of the machine to the center of the thumb screw. Low Shank – measures ½” - High Shank – measures 1” - Slant Shank for Singer – From screw hole to bed of machine the shank is angled down.
Does the over cast foot cut as well
No , this foot just neatens edges with stitches. However , a cut and sew foot acts like a serger and cuts the fabric .
