Will this work with 1 mm waxed thread?

Waxed thread is for hand sewing and should not be used in this machine. not sure about the 1 mm size. check out mainely acres on you tube he has a number helpful videos.

Why cant i get this machine to sew?

go to mainley acres on you tube . he has number of Q.& A. videos and helpful tips

What thread and needles does this take?

V92 Nylon or polyester thread works. PTFE thread has not worked for me. T135 weight has not worked well for me. 15x1 in chisel point needles works well for leather. 15x1 in a fine chisel point works for most other fabrics I've tried. Needles that work for me: 15x1 - 120/20 System 130 135/705 (705H)

How do i buy extra thread, needles, and bobbins?

My unit came with three bobbins and 5 extra needles, If you order 15x1 (or System 130) needles they will fit. Order #18/20 or 22 if you are using heavier thread. The bobbins do not appear to be the US standard 66 or system 15. I have not found extra bobbins yet. For thread, I would recommend the V92 weight (or standard v69). I've tried T135/#138 and had trouble with the #20 needle I've been using. I currently would not recommend T135 weight thread. I also upgraded the base as the stand (on all there manuals) appears to be weak.

What is the max sewing thickness

I've done 3 layers of furniture leather and 4 layers of nylon webbing.
